DESCRIPTION:Supporting Run Hub Gear Grants for track and field student athletes \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCampbell Community Center\, 155 High St in Eugene \n\n\n\nLife’s batter with pancakes! \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, Feb 24\, for the 2024 Gear Grants Pancake Run\, a 5K race and pancake breakfast fundraiser for Run Hub Gear Grants!  \n\n\n\nThis timed event will start at 9 AM at the Campbell Community Center\, 155 High St in Eugene. The course will loop through Alton Baker Park before returning to the community center. Eclectic Edge Racing will be timing the event. Then join us inside the community center for a pancake breakfast.   \n\n\n\nYou can choose to do just the race\, just the breakfast\, or both! Pancakes will be served until 11 AM. The breakfast ticket includes a meal of pancakes\, sausages (veggie option)\, fruit\, and juice.  \n\n\n\nPlease sign up here if you’d like to volunteer as a course marshal or help with food preparation and cleanup. \n\n\n\nThanks to our sponsors\, all ticket proceeds will go to Run Hub Gear Grants\, which provides $200 grants to middle and high school track & field and cross country athletes in the Eugene area who need help purchasing shoes and other gear for their season. Since the program’s inception in fall 2022\, Run Hub has distributed nearly 90 Gear Grants. The Spring 2024 Gear Grants application will open February 15\, and grants will be issued to track and field athletes in March.  \n\n\n\nAsics will also be on-site showcasing the brand-new Gel-Nimbus 26! SUMMARY:Brice Creek Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:This month we will be going south to Cottage Grove to explore Brice Creek Trail on Sun\, March 24! \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet at Run Hub at 9am and carpool to Brice Creek Trailhead/Cedar Creek Campground. Or meet at Brice Creek around 10-10:15am. Try on the new On Cloudsurfer Trail shoe and we’ll head out for a run/hike. Brice Creek is a local favorite and just an hour from Eugene. It has a little of everything. Single track trails\, that have great views of Brice Creek\, steep punchy climbs and downhills\, rocks\, roots\, twists and turns\, and even a gorgeous waterfall! The trail is 5.5 miles long one way\, so if you did an out and back you would get 11 miles in. You could add another two to three miles (highly recommend) to see the falls for at least 13 miles. You could also cut off a mile or so and see the falls for a 12-mile run. Just a note that there is little to no cell service when you get near Brice Creek\, so you may want to screenshot directions.  \n\n\n\nDirections: \n\n\n\nFrom Cottage Grove\, OR\, travel east on Row River Road 2400 for 19 miles to Forest Road 2470. Turn right on County Road 2470 and continue for 4 miles along Brice Creek to Cedar Creek Campground\, located on the left side of the road. \n\n\n\nSchedule:9:00 – 9:15 AM: Meet at Run Hub to carpool to Brice Creek Trailhead.10:00 AM: Meet at Cedar Creek Campground. Try on the On CloudSurfer Trail shoes! Take a group photo and head to the trail.10:20 AM: Run and explore! DESCRIPTION:For this month’s destination trail run\, we’ll be keeping it local with a run at Mt. Pisgah just southeast of Eugene. Meet at the main parking lot of Mt. Pisgah at 9am on Sunday\, April 21 to run/hike 5 or 10 miles with others. Our Brooks Guru Campbell will be at the run for you to test out the Brooks Cascadia 17 trail shoe. After the run\, we’ll head to Hideaway Bakery for coffee and pastries. There is a parking fee of $5.  \n\n\n\n9:00 AM to 9:15 AM: Meet at the main parking lot (34901 Frank Parrish Rd\, Eugene\, OR 97405). Try on the Brooks Cascadia 17.
