SUMMARY:Brice Creek Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:This month we will be going south to Cottage Grove to explore Brice Creek Trail on Sun\, March 24! \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet at Run Hub at 9am and carpool to Brice Creek Trailhead/Cedar Creek Campground. Or meet at Brice Creek around 10-10:15am. Try on the new On Cloudsurfer Trail shoe and we’ll head out for a run/hike. Brice Creek is a local favorite and just an hour from Eugene. It has a little of everything. Single track trails\, that have great views of Brice Creek\, steep punchy climbs and downhills\, rocks\, roots\, twists and turns\, and even a gorgeous waterfall! The trail is 5.5 miles long one way\, so if you did an out and back you would get 11 miles in. You could add another two to three miles (highly recommend) to see the falls for at least 13 miles. You could also cut off a mile or so and see the falls for a 12-mile run. Just a note that there is little to no cell service when you get near Brice Creek\, so you may want to screenshot directions.  \n\n\n\nDirections: \n\n\n\nFrom Cottage Grove\, OR\, travel east on Row River Road 2400 for 19 miles to Forest Road 2470. Turn right on County Road 2470 and continue for 4 miles along Brice Creek to Cedar Creek Campground\, located on the left side of the road. \n\n\n\nSchedule:9:00 – 9:15 AM: Meet at Run Hub to carpool to Brice Creek Trailhead.10:00 AM: Meet at Cedar Creek Campground. Try on the On CloudSurfer Trail shoes! Take a group photo and head to the trail.10:20 AM: Run and explore! DESCRIPTION:For this month’s destination trail run\, we’ll be keeping it local with a run at Mt. Pisgah just southeast of Eugene. Meet at the main parking lot of Mt. Pisgah at 9am on Sunday\, April 21 to run/hike 5 or 10 miles with others. Our Brooks Guru Campbell will be at the run for you to test out the Brooks Cascadia 17 trail shoe. After the run\, we’ll head to Hideaway Bakery for coffee and pastries. There is a parking fee of $5.  \n\n\n\n9:00 AM to 9:15 AM: Meet at the main parking lot (34901 Frank Parrish Rd\, Eugene\, OR 97405). Try on the Brooks Cascadia 17. Bathrooms are available near the main lot. 9:15 AM: Group picture\, talk about the route and enjoy the run/hike!There will be a 5 and 10-mile option. DESCRIPTION:Join Oiselle and Run Hub as we kick off the Olympic Track & Field Trials and raise funds for the Running Industry Diversity Coalition!  \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet in front of Run Hub Northwest (515 High St\, Eugene) to run either a 3-mile or 5-mile loop on a combination of Pre’s Trail and the Willamette River path. Kara first began the Fast Girl Fridays series on her instagram to bring attention to the accomplishments and experiences of high school girls in running. There are so many amazing stories and athletes\, and I felt like they deserved to be highlighted. The whole goal is just to show other girls that we see them\, and maybe they can help inspire each other to go out for the cross country team or go for that big goal they have in the back of their mind. She is currently focused on the Olympic Track & Field Trials in Eugene\, where she will compete in the 800. Kendra is also the Senior Administrative Coordinator at The University of Texas\, where she produces Blackademics TV airing on PBS\, and facilitates grants for education under the black studies department. DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join us for our monthly trail run! This month\, we’ll meet at Martin St Trailhead (925 Martin St) to run a portion of the Ridgeline Trail. We’ll have a moderately hilly 5-mile route with the option to add on a few more miles if you’d like. Run\, walk or do a combination of the two!
