DESCRIPTION:**Save the date for our annual run and raft trip on the McKenzie River!** \n\n\n\nRun on the McKenzie River Trail and then choose whether to stay for lunch and a guided rafting trip on one of Oregon’s most scenic rivers!  \n\n\n\n *Meet at Run Hub at 8-8:15 to carpool to Paradise Campground (57489 McKenzie Hwy\, Blue River) or meet at Paradise Campground parking lot around 9:30am.  \n\n\n\nOur friends at Horse Creek Lodge will provide the shuttle and guide the raft trip.  \n\n\n\nThe Shuttle will transport you upriver from Paradise Campground to do a point-to-point run with 4-5\, 7-8\, and 14-15 mile drop off options. The shuttle is $10 per person but free if you decide to do the rafting portion as well. All paces are welcome to run or hike the trail. Please bring your own water and fuel for the day. It will be warm on the trail and there isn’t access to drinking water on the run. \n\n\n\nAfter lunch (not provided)\, those who signed up for rafting will suit up in optional booties and wet suits and get going about 1-1:30 p.m. The raft trip is about 3 hours of floating on the river and includes snacks and a shuttle back to Paradise for $70. \n\n\n\nSign-up is required. On Wed\, July 31 come to the shop to test out a variety of hydration options\, including Skratch sports drink mix\, Ucan hydrate\, Gu Roctane and Nuun sport for exercise. We’ll have a variety of drink mixes ready for you to sample and garnish with a lemon or lime. Come a little early to sample drinks\, or grab one after the community run/walk. \n\n\n\nAfter you grab a drink\, we’ll head out for a 3 or 5-mile run/walk along Pre’s Trail and the river path. All paces are welcome.  \n\n\n\nAll nutrition will be 20% OFF during this event\, so stock up for your summer adventures!

SUMMARY:Cooper Creek Destination Trail Run & Paddle
DESCRIPTION:This month we will be traveling south to Cooper Creek Reservoir in Sutherlin for our destination trail run. Head to Run Hub on Sun\, Sept. 1 at 9-9:15am to carpool or meet the group at the Cooper Creek trailhead at 10:15am. \n\n\n\nWe’ll run a picturesque 6 mile loop traversing around Cooper Creek Reservoir. After the run\, we’ll cool off by paddling around in the reservoir. BYOFD (Bring your own flotation device). The water temperature is very mild and great for swimming\, kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. \n\n\n\nDetails: \nSun\, Sept. 19:00 AM-9:15 AM: Meet at Run Hub to carpool to the trailhead.10:15 AM: Meet at the main Cooper Creek Reservoir parking lot (491 Edgewater Dr\, Sutherlin\, OR 97479). Will go over the run\, and take a group photo.10:20 AM: Start the run! We will run around the creek counterclockwise. It is a fun loop with mild rolling hills. The 6 miles has around 800 feet of vert.After the loop\, grab a snack and we will float around the reservoir.After the float you are welcome to eat at Huele A Tacos food truck in Sutherlin. Our fall 2024 Gear Grants application opens on August 11\, and grants will be issued to cross country athletes in September. \n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for the event. Your $30 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog ticket includes \n\n\n\n\naccess to the poker run and post-run raffle\n\n\n\na catered lunch from Yabai Nikkei (chicken or tofu teriyaki\, rice\, salad and onigiri)\n\n\n\na drink from ColdFire Brewing (beer\, wine and non-alcoholic options)\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to buy your ticket before Sept 1\, so that we have an accurate count of participants for the caterer. Come a little early to check out a pair of demo shoes\, then choose to do 3 or 5 miles on Pre’s Trail and the Willamette River path. \nAll paces and abilities are welcome! We will have two run leaders and one walking leader. \nThe Brooks Glycerin Max is a maximum cushion road shoe for runners and walkers. The shoe features a softer cushion in the heel for plush landings and a firmer cushion under the forefoot for propulsive toe-offs. It also has a “GlideRoll” rocker for effortless heel-to-toe transitions.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for this Halloween-themed running scavenger hunt around downtown Eugene! You’ll have one hour to make it to as many stops as you can. This event is free for participants and all paces and abilities are welcome! \nSchedule:\n5:30 PM: Demos at the store\n6 PM: Run begins\n7 PM: Run finishes at Beergarden for drinks and a prize raffle \nThe run will be about ~3-4 miles total. \nMore details: \nMeet at the shop at 5:30 p.m. to demo On shoes\, Oofos recovery footwear and Shokz bone conduction headphones (and get extra raffle tickets for the post-run raffle)! \nThe run will begin at 6 p.m. and you’ll have one hour to make it to as many stops as possible. The more stops you make it to\, the more raffle tickets you get! We’ll end the run at 7 p.m. at Beergarden and enjoy some drinks and raffle off prizes from our participating vendors and businesses! \nDon’t forget to wear your Halloween costume! SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run - Hendricks to Moon
DESCRIPTION:Meet at Hendrick’s Park parking lot (corner of Floral Hill Dr. & Fairmount Blvd) at 8am on Sun\, Oct. 27 for a 6.5-mile no-drop trail run. We’ll talk about the route\, take a group photo and get going around 8:10am. \nThis is a backyard destination trail run from Hendricks Park to Moon Mountain\, with 1\,050′ elevation gain and warm fall vibes. You’ll climb Ribbon Trail and dash over to Black Oak Basin. Then you’ll head up\, down and around to Coryell Ridge\, and get a fall morning view of Moon before looping back\, down and around to Hendricks. After the run\, we’ll head to Hideaway Bakery (3377 E Amazon Dr) for food and drink.  \nOur new trail run leader\, James Wellington will be leading this month’s trail run. Welcome\, James! \nA no-drop run means we’ll be stopping as a group a few times along the way for everyone to regroup.
