SUMMARY:Brooks Caldera Demo on the Ridgeline Trail
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 23 at 9:00 a.m.\, join us for a run on the Ridgeline Trail while testing out the Brooks Caldera trail shoe. Our Brooks Guru\, Carlee will be here with a bunch of the Calderas to demo. The Caldera provides great traction\, high cushion\, a double mesh upper for protection and a seamless feel\, gaiter tabs\, and a protective midsole that provides stability over rocks and roots. \nWe’ll meet at the Blanton Ridge Trailhead at 9:00 a.m. and get going shortly after. You’ll have options to run ~4 (to 52nd & WIlliamette and back) or 8 miles (to Spencer Butte and back). For those who want to\, we’ll head to Friendly Street Market (2757 Friendly St) afterward for coffee and food. \nIf you want to want to catch all the Brooks fun that day\, Carlee will be at Run Hub from 12:00-2:00 p.m. to do the Run Signature gait analysis for customers. SUMMARY:Larison Rock Destination Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 30 @ 9:00 am\, join us for a Larison Rock Trail run in Oakridge\, OR! There will be options to run 5-11 miles (or anywhere in between). Larison Rock Trail is a single track trail in among old growth forest with decent climbing (2-3\,000 ft). If you reach the summit/rock\, you’ll be rewarded with great views of the forest below. \n\n\n \n\n\nIf you’d like to carpool from Run Hub\, please meet at the store at 8:00 a.m. Please bring food and water. For those interested\, we may stop at Brewer’s Union if it’s open after we’re finished. \n\n\n \n\n\nIf you’re interested in one\, two or all three days of the Oakridge Triple Summit Challenge on Oct 13-15\, this run will be a good preview of what you’ll encounter at the Triple Summit. Local runner and race organizer Devin VansCoy will help lead our trail run this month. For more details about the Triple Summit Challenge\, visit http://www.oakridgetriplesummitchallenge.com\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nRun details: From Greenwaters Park\, run over the bridge and continue to stay right on the trail. Once you hit the gravel road about a half mile in\, take a right on the gravel road. Follow the gravel road for about another half mile until you get to the Larison Rock Trailhead on the left. At this point you should have just over one mile under your feet. Once you hit the trail you will run up 4.5 miles to the summit. There are no other turns you can take\, so just follow the trail up. About 4 miles up the trail you will hit a paved road. Cross the road and keep going up the trail for another half mile to the top of the rock. Once you get to the top there are great views of the forest below. You’ll return back down the trail the way you came. \n\n\n \n\n\nDirections to trailhead: Carpool to Greenwaters Park in Oakridge. Drive through Oakridge on highway 58\, past Rays\, and past the bicycle shop. Greenwaters park will be on your right. Park in the parking lot there.

This short rolling session will give you some preventative tools to keep you running strong. \nFor the Community Run\, Gore-tex will bring the Brooks Ghosts and Cascadias\, the Saucony Rides and the New Balance 880s\, all in Gore-tex to keep your feet dry when it’s wet out! SUMMARY:North Umpqua Trail Destination Run
DESCRIPTION:For our monthly destination trail run we will be heading south toward Roseburg\, to a small town called Glide. Home to the North Umpqua Trail system. With a 79 mile point to point trail\, we will be doing the flattest part of the trail called the Tioga Segment. All levels of runners are welcome and we will have routes that should fit every runner’s need\, with a 5\, 10\, or 15 mile option. Some of the highlights of the trail will be Deadline Falls\, Fern Creek Falls and Bob Butte. \n  \nAfter burning calories in the forest\, come replenish your body by grabbing a bite to eat at O’tooles Pub in Roseburg\, OR. \n  \nWe will be meeting at Run Hub at 8:00 a.m. to carpool to the trail. It is about an hour and 50 minute drive. After the run everyone is welcome to grab some food and drink at O’tooles Pub on the way back home. Please bring water and fuel for yourself for the run\, as well as a change of clothes for afterward. And if you are planning to carpool\, it’s always nice to bring a few $ for gas for the driver. \n  \nCome join us for some great running\, food\, drink and friends. DESCRIPTION:This month we will be going to the lush looped Shotgun Creek Trail in Marcola\, Oregon on Saturday\, March 31. This is a trail runners paradise as it is only a 30 minute drive from Eugene\, and most days you can have the trail all to yourself to get your trail running zen on. It is also a 5 mile looped trail\, so for those who do not like seeing the same things twice this is a perfect run to get 5 miles in. If you want to get a longer run in you can always tag on another loop\, or even a third loop! \nThis trail is also the host of the Shotgun Trail Blast directed by the local Level 32 Racing company happening on April 7th. The race has a 5k\, 10k\, 25k\, and even a 50k option to meet any type of runners needs. For more information go to http://level32racing.com/Shotgun_Trail_Blast.html. If you are planning on competing in the race this could be a great preview run for you. \nAfter the run you are welcome to join us at the Marcola Roadhouse for some serious calorie refueling. SUMMARY:Bonus Trail Destination Run: Run for the Hills
DESCRIPTION:This month we have a special bonus trail run for you on the first Saturday of May. We will be going out to the gorgeous Willamette Valley Hills of Corvallis. This run will be a preview run for the upcoming Run For The Hills 30K and 8K trail race on June 10th. We will be meeting at Run Hub NW at 8 AM\, and carpooling up to the Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis. From there we will meet one of the Race directors and will start our run. There will be a 5 mile\, 10 mile\, or a 15 mile option. After we are all tired and dehydrated\, please join us for a good beer and some tasty za at the famous American Dream Pizza\, downtown location. \nInstead of binge watching Netflix get out and enjoy an awesome trail run\, good beer\, and some delicious za with great friends! SUMMARY:Treat Your Trails: Hendricks Park Work Party
DESCRIPTION:Join the Run Hub community in sustaining Eugene’s urban trail system on Saturday\, May 12 at 9:00 a.m. at Hendricks Park. Volunteers will help with trail maintenance and trailside vegetation removal during this family-friendly work party. Tools\, gloves\, instruction and snacks provided. Running to the park is optional. We will plan to be at the park at 9:00. If your intention is to run to Hendricks from the store start at 8:30. It’s about 2.5 miles from the store to Hendricks. Coffee\, bagels\, and donuts will be provided by Run Hub. \nRunning as a group is fun\, but giving back to our community is important and fun\, too. Join your running friends in a morning of beautifying Hendricks Park Forest\, a place many of us love to run and walk. DESCRIPTION:Join us THIS Saturday for a demo run with Garmin! Our Garmin rep Mike will bring several watches for you to try on your run\, including the Forerunner 645\, 935\, 35\, 235 and Fenix models. This is a great opportunity to try out a watch you’ve had your eye on. \nOur Saturday run includes a 4 or 8 mile route (or anywhere in between if you choose) from the store. All paces are welcome! DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Summer in Eugene! That means longer days\, more sun\, and more trail running! To celebrate the long sunny days we are putting on a three day preview run for the upcoming Oakridge Triple Summit Challenge race on September 7th-9th. For more info about the race scroll down. \n  \nWe will be meeting at Run Hub NW everyday to carpool to sunny Oakridge\, to run a new trail. Each day will have 5 mile\, 10 mile\, or even 15 plus mile options. You will even have the opportunity to run a flatter trail if you like. After an epic run in the forest\, join us at the local watering hole\, Brewers Union Local 180 for a pint and a burger (or veggie). This brewery has some amazing beers on cask\, as well as some mouth watering food. \n  \nMake this an epic weekend to remember\, by exploring trails with friends\, and capping it off with a cold one and some laughs. Those of you who are not coming from Eugene can meet us at the trailhead at this time.\nDirections: Coming from Eugene: Continue through Oakridge on highway 58 and turn left at stop light by the Rays Grocery Store. Turn right on the next intersection on 1st street. Continue for about 1.5 miles to the flatcreek trailhead on your right.\n7:00 PM: Food and Drink at Brewers Union. \nSaturday\, June 23 \n*This run will also be a Altra demo run! Come test out the Altra Superior\, Lone Peak or Timp while you hit the trails. \n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub NW to carpool to Westfir.\n9:00 AM: Meet at Alpine/North Fork trailhead in Westfir.\nDirections: Coming from Eugene. Driving eastbound on highway 58\, approximately 4 miles before Oakridge you will take a left on Westfir road. Less then one mile down the road you will come to a T section. Take a left. Continue through Westfir\, then take a left over the red covered bridge. Park near trailhead. You will have your choice to run Alpine\, which is very hilly\, or Northfork trail\, which hugs the creek.\n12:00 PM: Food and drink at Brewers Union. \nSunday\, June 24\n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub NW to carpopl to Oakridge.\n9:00 AM: Meet at Greenwaters Park\nDirections: From Eugene: Continue on Highway 58 past Oakridge. Toward the end of town you will take a right on Greenwaters park.\n12:00 PM: Food and drink at Brewers Union/Mazatlan. \nOakridge Triple Summit Challenge race details: This is an epic three day stage race taking place on September 7th-9th. Each day you will run a different mountainous trail that consists of around 2\,700 feet of climbing over a 20k distance. Do one\, two\, or for the ultimate challenge all three days! Overall mens and womens winner receives a free pair of Altras. There is also a flat 5k trilail race and a free kids one mile run on Sunday. Music\, food\, drinks\, and fun everyday!
