We will be mixing things up by giving you the opportunity to compete in a one-mile uphill segment challenge. You will predict your one-mile time starting from the Martin Street Trail head and climbing up to the Fox Hallow Trail head. This mile showcases a stout 500 feet of elevation gain. We will be taping your watch and the closest runner to their predicted time will win a prize. As an added bonus\, Hoka ONE ONE will be there with demo shoes for you to wear. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual run and raft trip on the McKenzie River! Run on the McKenzie River Trail and then choose whether to stay for lunch and a guided rafting trip on the river. NOTE: You must sign up ahead of time for the raft trip. More details below. \nTHE TRAIL RUN\nWe’ll meet at Run Hub at 8 a.m. and leave by 8:15 a.m. to head to the Paradise campground boat launch\, arriving by about 9:30 a.m. There will be people choosing just to run or run and raft\, so we can determine carpools prior to leaving Run Hub. \nTHE SHUTTLE\nOur friends at Horse Creek Lodge offer a shuttle service to transport us upriver from Paradise so we can do a point-to-point run with options of 6 or 12 miles. Shuttling is $5 to cover staffing and gas for shuttles. Please email reservations@horse-creek.com or call 541-822-3243 to reserve your spot on the shuttle bus! \nLUNCH\nAfter the 1-2+ hr trail run (depending which distance you choose)\, we’ll plan on using the picnic tables to have lunch at Paradise campground. Note: you provide your own lunch. \nRAFTING\nAfter lunch\, those who signed up for rafting will suit up in booties and wet suits and get going about 1-1:30 p.m. The raft trip is about 3 hours of floating on the river and includes snacks and a shuttle back to Paradise for $55. This is a $10 discount for our group with code HCGUEST when you sign up. If you plan to raft PLEASE BOOK YOUR SPOT EARLY so that they can plan ahead for enough rafts and guides. The rafting cost includes your trail run shuttle fee. \nBOOK YOUR RAFT TRIP AT: http://www.horse-creek.com/horse-creek/mckenzie-river-rafting/ and click “Book Now” below the half day option. Select July 27 on the calendar and choose the 1:30 option\, even though our group might get going sooner. We will have staff on hand to perform gait analyses\, individually fit runners in spikes and training shoes\, and to answer any questions you have about gear. \nOn Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m.\, we’ll host a pizza dinner followed by a panel discussion with former high school and college runners\, including All-Americans and an Olympian. \nAll middle school and high school athletes who make a purchase on Friday will receive a coupon for a free Run Signature gait analysis at Run Hub! \nOn Sunday at 10 a.m. we are encouraging all middle and high school runners to meet at the store for an All Schools Pre’s Trail Run with a pancake breakfast at the shop to follow. The team with the most runners to show up will receive a $200 donation from Run Hub to their program. Run Hub will donate $100 to the team with the biggest school spirit.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a trail run on the beautiful Oregon coast! We will meet at Run Hub at 8 a.m. to carpool to the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center. Note: It costs $5 per vehicle to park there for the day. Salomon will provide demo shoes for runners to wear during the trail run. Runners can choose to do an approximately 6-7 mile loop\, add a couple miles to the viewpoint for 8-9 miles\, or meet us at Yachats Brewing for 12-13 miles. We will all meet up after the run at the brewery for lunch. \nNote: Our destination trail run is one week earlier than usual to accommodate for Level 32 Racing’s Hardesty Hardcore Trail Run on Aug 31.

DESCRIPTION:Demo Altra shoes\, including the lightweight Escalante\, soft Torin and cushy Paradigm\, at our community run on Wednesday\, Sept. 25! Altra shoes are foot shaped and have a wide toe box to allow your toes to spread out naturally. These shoes also have Balanced Cushioning that positions the heel and forefoot an equal distance from the ground\, providing a natural foundation. \nAs usual\, the run will start at 6 p.m. Come a little early to grab a pair of demo shoes and be entered in a raffle. Then choose to run 3 or 5.5 miles on Pre’s Trail! Afterward we’ll raffle off some prizes. All paces welcome!

The more stamps you get\, the more raffle tickets you’ll receive for the post-run raffle! Be sure to dress up in your back to school attire – best nerd and jock will receive prizes! This event is free. \nMeet at the shop at 5 p.m. to demo products from New Balance\, Currex\, Defunkify and Trail Butter. You’ll also receive raffle tickets for trying these products! The run will start at 6 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.\, at which time we’ll do the raffle.

Come run the Community Race at the Springfield Cross Country Invitational on Saturday\, September 28 at 9:00 a.m. \nThe Community 5K Race is open to everyone. It will be a two loop course around Willamalane Park\, just east of SHS. All proceeds from the community race go to support the Springfield High School Cross Country and Track and Field programs.
