SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: Silver Falls State Park
DESCRIPTION:For October’s destination trail run we’ll head north to Silver Falls State Park. \n\n\n\nWe’ll do the 7.2-mile Trail of Ten Falls\, which is a loop that passes a series of breathtaking waterfalls along a rocky canyon and descends to a winding creek at the forest floor. The trail has an overall elevation change of 800 feet. Dogs are not permitted on the entire trail and are only allowed on portions of the trail. \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet by the bathrooms at the South Falls Day Use Area. Parking is $5 per vehicle. \n\n\n\nIn addition\, our Brooks rep will be there with Caldera 6 demos for those who would like to demo this high cushion trail shoe on their run! \n\n\n\nAfter the run\, we’ll head to Venti’s Café + Taphouse\, 2840 Commercial St SE in Salem. \n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\n9 AM: Meet at Run Hub to carpool. \n\n\n\n10:30 AM: Meet at Silver Falls\, check out demos\, take a group photo\, and start the run. \n\n\n\n~1 PM: Head to Venti’s for lunch!

The run will start at 2 p.m. and you’ll have one hour to make it to as many stops as you can. The route will be 3-4 miles. We’ll end the run at 3 p.m. at Oakshire Public House\, where we’ll raffle off prizes from our vendors and participating businesses.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll also have a costume contest with prizes for the best dressed in these categories! 1) Best group/duo costume 2) Best costume inspired by a movie 2) Most festive  \n\n\n\nRun Hub is sponsoring two families through St. Vincent de Paul’s Holiday Joy program. For your entry into the RunVenture we ask that you donate one or more gifts requested by the families. SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: McKenzie River Trail
DESCRIPTION:For our December Destination Trail Run\, we’ll stick with tradition and head to the McKenzie River Trail! \n\n\n\nMeet at Run Hub at 8 AM and we’ll leave at 8:15AM to carpool to Belknap Hot Springs\, or meet us there around 9:30 AM. Horse Creek Lodge will shuttle us ($5 per person) to starting locations on the trail for point-to-point runs ending back at Belknap Hot Springs. There will be mile options ranging 5-12 miles.  \n\n\n\nAll paces are welcome\, including running and walking! If the trail is snowy\, we plan to snowshoe instead. Snowshoe rentals can be found at Berg’s in Eugene. \n\n\n\nAfter the run/hike\, we’ll go to Belknap Hot Springs for an hour soak. The cost is $8/person. Please bring a swimsuit and towel\, as well as a change of clothes\, food and water for after the run. \n\n\n\nSign up for the run shuttle here.
