DESCRIPTION:For our August Destination Trail Run\, we’ll be traveling to the Oregon Coast to South Beach State Park in Newport on Sun\, Aug. 27.  \n\n\n\nAddress: 5580 SW Coast Hwy\, Newport\, OR 97366 \n\n\n\nThis is a gem of a trail that most people do not know about! This is also a preview run for the Twisted Pine Run in September. This trail allows access to sandy beaches and beautiful single track trails. We will be offering a 6-mile run\, or you can hit some of the sandy beaches to add some extra mileage. \n\n\n\nBrooks will be at the trail run with the Cascadia 17 trail shoe for you to demo on the run!  \n\n\n\nAfter the run we will enjoy a pint and some food at the Newport Brewing Co. SUMMARY:Big Timber Tree-O Relay
DESCRIPTION:Big Timber Running Club is thrilled to announce its first annual Tree-O Relay Race!  \n\n\n\nThis event is open to the public.  \n\n\n\nThe Tree-O Relay Race is a 3-person relay starting and finishing at the Jasper Trailhead in Springfield\, Oregon.  Each relay member will be running one leg of the race.  All legs start and finish at Jasper Trailhead. Runner #1 will run the “Clearwater Current” route (4.6 miles)\, Runner #2 will run the “SawMill Hill” loop (6 miles)\, and Runner #3 will run the “Dorris Forrist” Loop (6 miles).  The start/finish area will feature music\, vendors\, snacks\, and recovery areas for runners both finishing and preparing for their leg.   The end of the race will feature prizes and fun giveaways for competitors. \n\n\n\nCost is $90 per team  \n\n\n\nRegistration instructions:Step 1: Find two friends! \n\n\n\nStep 2: Start registration for the race \n\n\n\nStep 3: Create a team name \n\n\n\nStep 4: Invite 2 friends to join your team (share team name and password) \n\n\n\nStep 5: Determine payment options (pay the whole registration fee or split) \n\n\n\nStep 6: Show up on Race Day for miles and smiles!

SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: Alpine Trail
DESCRIPTION:We will be going to Westfir to run the world famous Alpine trail for the destination trail run this month! We will be doing part of the Westfir 30k-50k course. This is an out and back trail and no way to get lost. It is a good climb\, but the trail is so smooth and beautiful\, it will be worth the effort! \n\n\n\nThis trail is an out and back trail\, but there is a good turnaround section that would get you 6 miles\, 8 miles\, or 11 miles. The 8-mile turnaround has a nice lookout\, and if you did 11 miles you would turn around at Buckhead Shelter.After the run we will go to 3 Legged Crane for a pint and food. All abilities welcome. This event is free for participants and all ages\, paces and abilities are welcome! \n\n\n\nSchedule:1 PM Demos at the store2 PM Run begins3 PM Run finishes at Oakshire Public House \n\n\n\nThe run will be about ~3-4 miles total. \n\n\n\nMore details: \n\n\n\nMeet at the shop at 1 p.m. to demo the Brooks Ghost Max and Shokz bone conduction headphones (and get extra raffle tickets for the post-run raffle)! \n\n\n\nThe run will begin at 2 p.m. and you’ll have one hour to make it to as many stops as possible. The more stops you make it to\, the more raffle tickets you get! \n\n\n\nWe’ll end the run at 3 p.m. at Oakshire Public House\, where we’ll enjoy some drinks and raffle off prizes from our participating vendors and businesses! \n\n\n\nDon’t forget to wear your Halloween costume! SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: McKenzie River Trail
DESCRIPTION:SIGN UP FOR THE RUN SHUTTLE HERE. \n\n\n\nFor our November Destination Trail Run\, we’ll stick with tradition and head to the McKenzie River Trail! We typically do this run in December\, but are moving it up a month in the hopes of avoiding too much snow.  \n\n\n\nMeet at Run Hub at 8 AM and we’ll leave at 8:15AM to carpool to Belknap Hot Springs\, or meet us there around 9:30 AM. Horse Creek Lodge will shuttle us to starting locations on the trail for point-to-point runs ending back at Belknap Hot Springs. There will be mile options ranging 5-13 miles. You must sign up for the run shuttle ahead of time; the cost is $10.  \n\n\n\nAll paces are welcome\, including running and walking! \n\n\n\nAfter the run/hike\, we’ll go to Belknap Hot Springs for an hour soak. The cost is $10/person. Please bring a swimsuit and towel\, as well as a change of clothes\, food and water for after the run. \n\n\n\nSIGN UP FOR THE RUN SHUTTLE HERE.

The run will start at 2 p.m. and you’ll have one hour to make it to as many stops as you can. The route will be 3-4 miles. We’ll end the run at 3 p.m. at Falling Sky Brewing\, where we’ll raffle off prizes from our vendors and participating businesses. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also have a costume contest with prizes for the three best-dressed participants! \n\n\n\nAs your entry into the RunVenture\, we ask that you bring a monetary donation in the form of cash or check for St. Vincent de Paul’s Season of Joy program. This campaign is raising funds to provide totes filled with essentials\, such as household cleaning supplies and personal-care products\, to seniors living at St. Vincent de Paul affordable-housing properties this holiday season. \n\n\n\nIf you’re unable to make it to the RunVenture but still want to donate\, please bring your donation to the shop by 5 p.m. on Sunday\, Dec. 17.
