DESCRIPTION:Join Girls on the Run Willamette Valley at Run Hub for an informational night. Girls on the Run is a non-profit after-school program for girls in grades 3-8 that combines health education and running. Ten-week sessions are offered every spring and fall. At the end of the program\, girls participate in a 5K. \nLearn more about the organization’s upcoming spring 2020 season\, how to become a coach and how to get involved in other ways. This season\, Girls on the Run will need over 20 committed coaches\, 100 5K buddies\, as well as program sponsors to help them continue to reach the underserved girls in our communities. And instead of counting minutes and seconds\, we’re counting miles. The person with the lowest distance will win a pair of the brand new Cloudflows! SUMMARY:Monthly Destination Trail Run: McKenzie River Trail
DESCRIPTION:For December’s monthly Trail destination run we will keep with tradition and head to the McKenzie River Trail for the holidays! We will meet at Run Hub at 9 AM to carpool to Belknap Hot Springs\, and then we will get shuttled to three different spots (snow permitting) up the trail for a 13\, 9\, or 5 mile option. The 5-miler will start at Deer Creak and head back to Belknap\, the 9-miler will be dropped off at Trail Bridge\, and the 14 miler will be dropped off at Carmen Reservoir. (Snow permitting) The 14-miler will run by Blue Pool. If you have not seen this wonder it is definitely worth burning the extra calories. Afterwards come join us for a soak at Belknap. One hour costs $7 and will be certain to warm your legs up after a brisk run on the trail. Shuttles will be $5 a piece. All proceeds will go to McKenzie High School Athletics. Cash only please. All levels welcome. Come out and join us for a fun run with friends right before the New Year! \nThe past two years we have not been able to shuttle runners to Carmen Reservoir because of the snow level. DESCRIPTION:For February’s Destination Trail run you are in for a treat. This is one of my personal favorite trails. This is a 10k trail one way\, just a few miles past Oakridge. Do the entire trail\, out and back and you will get 20k of pure bliss trail running. There are no other trails to get lost on\, so do not worry about which way to go for this one. There is only one way! The trail hugs the Hills Creek Reservoir and steadily gains elevation while you run. You will not even feel like you are gaining altitude until the last mile\, where you will have a nice steep climb to the end of the trail. If you do the entire thing you might be treated with some snow! \nAfter the run join us for a bite to eat at Brewers Union. \nOakridge is truly a trail running paradise and I would love to share a little piece of it with all of you by joining me for a run in the woods. SUMMARY:Virtual Holiday RunVenture 2020
DESCRIPTION:Get into the holiday spirit with our virtual Holiday RunVenture! Have fun with our running challenges and help us give back to the community. \nAs in year’s past\, Run Hub is sponsoring two families through St. Vincent de Paul’s Holiday Joy program. Follow a series of riddles to find the hidden pot of gold in Eugene.\nLeprechaun Run. Go for a run or walk on Pre’s Trail to Rainbow Drive\, where you’ll find a leprechaun. Take a socially-distanced picture with said leprechaun for an extra raffle ticket!\n\nRemember\, complete each challenge and post about it on social media and tag us and On to receive your beer token (which you’ll pick up at Run Hub) and be entered into the prize raffle!

DESCRIPTION:💥 Welcome to the Mach Mile Madness challenge! 💥 presented by @hokaoneone and Run Hub! \nDates: March 24-30 \nThere are four Strava mile segments in four regions of Eugene/Springfield. You may compete on any or all of segments. However\, we will only count your fastest time for advancing to the Elite 8. 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️ \nFor each segment you run\, post a screenshot of your activity on social media\, tag @runhubnw and @hokaoneone\, and you’ll receive a raffle ticket into our drawing for a free pair of Hoka Machs. 💨 \nYou’ll receive a bonus raffle ticket for checking out a pair of Machs from the shop and trying them out on a run. 🎟️ \n🔥 On March 31\, the two fastest people to run each segment will advance to the Elite 8 challenge for a chance to run a fifth segment (to be announced) and compete to win the Mach Mile Championship. The champion will receive a $150 Run Hub gift card. 🔥 \nThe Segments! \n⚡North: Begins at the intersection of Willagillespie Road and Cal Young Road and travels east on Cal Young toward Oakway Road.\n⚡South: Begins on the Rexius Trail at the intersection of E Amazon Drive and Dillard Road and travels north to Hilyard Street.\n⚡East: Begins at the Booth-Kelly Trailhead in Springfield and travels east on the Mill Race Path toward South 28th Street.\n⚡West: Begins on the Fern Ridge Path at the intersection of Greenhill Road and Royal Avenue and travels southeast through the Meadowlark Prairie.
