DESCRIPTION:Destination Trail Runs are back!\n\n\nWith our first trail run back we have a special treat for you. On will be there to demo trail shoes to anyone who would like to try a pair on their run. On has some pretty sweet trail shoes with the Cloudventure\, Cloudventure Peak\, and Cloudultra. Want waterproof shoes? On has got you covered with their Cloudventure waterproof trail shoe.\n\nLastly\, the route we will be running is the same route that the Storm The Castle Half Marathon will be on! This is a brand new race on November 27th\, 2021. If you fall in love with the trail\, which I know you will then check this race out in November. For more info of the race please visit https://elevatedtrailracing.com/.\n\nDetails for the group trail run below:\n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub to drive to location. Please bring masks. We will all be wearing masks when not being six feet a part from one another.\n\n9:00 AM: Arrive at the Kings castle trailhead. Address: 54754 King Rd E\, Blue River\, OR 97413.\nWe will run up on the Kings Castle trail. Once we get to a T section in the trail we will take a right on the Castle Rock Trail. This will take us all of the way to the summit where you will have gorgeous 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains including the sisters mountains. The entire run will be about 11.5 miles and will have around 2\,800 feet of vert.\n\nRunners are welcome to do a shorter run and turnaround at the gravel road crossing. This would be around a 10k out and back run.\n\n12:00 PM: If anyone is interested and comfortable we will meet at Takodas to eat and drink.\n\nI look forward to running with you all again! Come out and try on a pair of Ons\, enjoy a beautiful trail\, and stay for lunch at Takodas for a pint and delicious food!

Run on the McKenzie River Trail and then choose whether to stay for lunch and a guided rafting trip on the river. DESCRIPTION:On September 24-26\, the Oakridge Triple Summit Challenge will take place\, so we will not be doing a destination trail run at the end of September. Instead we are going to do one a couple of weeks earlier on Sunday\, September 12. We will meet at 8 AM at Run Hub to carpool to the Dead Mountain trailhead. We will leave Run Hub around 8:15 and should arrive at the trailhead around 9 AM. This is an up and down mountain course\, so if you want to summit it will be just over an 11-mile roundtrip. If you want to run less you can turn around at anytime\, but I promise the views are worth the summit! After the run we will head to 3 Legged Crane Pub and Brewhouse (formerly known as Brewers Union Local 180) for a beer and lunch. All levels and abilities are invited! DESCRIPTION:For this month’s destination trail run\, we are going to go to Oakridge. In my biased opinion\, the best place for trails in the entire PNW\, and possibly the nation! With over 500 miles of trails around the area you never have to stop exploring. This month we will be going on a new trail called the Middle Fork. It was a relatively flat trail\, compared to Oakridge trail standards. It is over 30 miles long one way and hugs the Middle Fork Willamette River the entire way. We will start at Sand Prairie campground\, which is 12 miles south on forest service road 21. It is an approximately a 70-minute drive from Run Hub. We will run south on the Middle Fork trail. Since this trail is a one way you can turn around whenever you like. We will eat lunch at Three Legged Crane Brewery in Oakridge after. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Wednesday night community run and demo some Altra running shoes! We will be starting our runs from the store again\, so meet in front of the shop at 515 High Street at 6 PM. \n\n\n\nCheck out a pair of the Altra Escalante 2.5 or Torin 5 from our rep and take them for a spin on the Willamette River Path. We have 3-mile and 5.5-mile route options\, and all paces are welcome. Please wear lights or reflective gear for safety!  \n\n\n\nThe Escalante is a soft and lightly cushioned trainer and the Torin is a moderately-cushioned and bouncy shoe.

DESCRIPTION:For November’s destination trail run we are heading near the coast for some pretty water falls action! If you love scenic views this is a trail run you do not want to miss! You can choose to go anywhere from 4.5 miles to 17 miles. Details below: \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub.8:15 AM: Carpool to the trailhead.9:45 AM: Meet at Kentucky Falls Trailhead.12:00 PM: Eat lunch at Deadwood Tavern. Address: 14699 Highway 36\, Deadwood\, OR 97430 \n\n\n\nDirections to trailhead: Travel west on OR-126 for 30.4 mi. At the Whittaker Creek Recreation Area east of Mapleton between mileposts 26 & 27 turn left (south) onto Siuslaw River Rd (Forest Service Road 4390). Travel 1.6 miles and veer right at the Whittaker Creek sign and cross the bridge over the Siuslaw River. Travel this road for 1.5 miles\, then turn left onto Dunn Ridge Road. Continue on Dunn Ridge Road for 7.0 miles to a “T” shaped junction at the end of the pavement. Turn left at the T junction onto Knowles Creek Road and continue 2.8 miles. Veer right onto Forest Service Road #23 and follow for 1.6 miles. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 919 and follow for 2.8 miles and turn right into parking area. Follow signs to the trailhead.

DESCRIPTION:We are resuming in-person RunVentures! Join us for this fun holiday-themed running scavenger hunt through Eugene and help give back to the community!  \n\n\n\nMeet at the shop at 1 p.m. to demo Brooks Running shoes and Coros GPS watches and to sample some Picky Bars. The run will start at 2 p.m. and you’ll have one hour to make it to as many stops as you can. The route will be 3-4 miles. We’ll end the run at ColdFire Brewing\, where we’ll raffle off prizes from our vendors and participating businesses. We’ll also have a costume contest with prizes for the best dressed in these categories!1) Best group costume2) Best costume inspired by a movie2) Most festiveRun Hub is sponsoring two families through St. Vincent de Paul’s Holiday Joy program. SUMMARY:(CANCELLED) Destination Trail Run: McKenzie River Trail with Topo Running!
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our biggest destination trail run of the year! Come out and enjoy a run in the woods with friends and a soak in the hot springs after! Details below:9:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub for a 9:15ish departure. Car pool options will be available.10:15 AM: Arrive at Belknap Hot Springs. You can also meet us in the parking lot there at this time rather than carpool. Address: 59296 Belknap Hot Springs Rd\, McKenzie Bridge\, OR 97413.Run: Topo will be there for you to demo some shoes. We will start at Belknap and run east on the famous McKenzie River trail. The trail is closed 5 miles up due to a bridge down\, so the longest option this year will be a 10 mile out and back. If you wanted to run longer though you can always continue past the hot springs to the end of the trail and run back. That would get you an extra 3 plus miles for a total of over 13 miles. For those who want to run less simply just turn around early.After the run enjoy a one hour long soak at the Belknap Hot Springs. Cost is $8 per person. Towels are extra\, so bring your own towel. *Normally we would be shuttled to start the run\, making it point to point\, but the fires during the late summer devastated this trail and they are still cleaning up and building bridges. Sections are still closed and will be closed until the summer. Can’t wait to see you all there! This has been our biggest run in the past. In 2019 we had 58 runners. Let’s enjoy these trails we are so lucky to have.
