SUMMARY:Cooper Creek Destination Trail Run & Paddle
DESCRIPTION:This month we will be traveling south to Cooper Creek Reservoir in Sutherlin for our destination trail run. Head to Run Hub on Sun\, Sept. 1 at 9-9:15am to carpool or meet the group at the Cooper Creek trailhead at 10:15am. \n\n\n\nWe’ll run a picturesque 6 mile loop traversing around Cooper Creek Reservoir. After the run\, we’ll cool off by paddling around in the reservoir. BYOFD (Bring your own flotation device). The water temperature is very mild and great for swimming\, kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. \n\n\n\nDetails: \nSun\, Sept. 19:00 AM-9:15 AM: Meet at Run Hub to carpool to the trailhead.10:15 AM: Meet at the main Cooper Creek Reservoir parking lot (491 Edgewater Dr\, Sutherlin\, OR 97479). Will go over the run\, and take a group photo.10:20 AM: Start the run! We will run around the creek counterclockwise. It is a fun loop with mild rolling hills. The 6 miles has around 800 feet of vert.After the loop\, grab a snack and we will float around the reservoir.After the float you are welcome to eat at Huele A Tacos food truck in Sutherlin. We can’t wait to share this great trail with you! \n\n\n\nIf you are a runner that always gets lost on trails this is a great trail for you to run\, as there is only one trail. The trail hugs the reservoir the entire way. You will always see the reservoir on your left. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Get your ticket before the price increases on September 1! \nJoin us on Saturday\, September 7\, for the 2024 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog\, a poker run and catered lunch to fundraise for Run Hub Gear Grants! \n\n\n\nRun Hub Gear Grants provides free running shoes and other gear to school-aged runners in need. Our fall 2024 Gear Grants application opens on August 11\, and grants will be issued to cross country athletes in September. \n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for the event. Your $30 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog ticket includes \n\n\n\n\naccess to the poker run and post-run raffle\n\n\n\na catered lunch from Yabai Nikkei (chicken or tofu teriyaki\, rice\, salad and onigiri)\n\n\n\na drink from ColdFire Brewing (beer\, wine and non-alcoholic options)\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to buy your ticket before Sept 1\, so that we have an accurate count of participants for the caterer. The ticket price will increase to $40 on Sept 1.  \n\n\n\nAbout the event\n\n\n\nThe event will start at 11 AM at Run Hub Northwest\, 515 High Street in Eugene\, and participants will have one hour to check out Brooks demo shoes and other products from our sponsors. The run will start at 12 PM at Run Hub. Runners will run to five checkpoints throughout downtown Eugene and will draw a playing card at each one. The run will end at ColdFire Brewing Company\, 263 Mill St. \n\n\n\nThe object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run! Students must be enrolled in a track or cross country program at a Eugene/Springfield school or a sanctioned youth running program within Eugene/Springfield.
