SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: McKenzie River Trail Run & Raft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual run and raft trip on the McKenzie River! Run on the McKenzie River Trail and then choose whether to stay for lunch and a guided rafting trip on the river. \n\n\n\nNOTE: You must sign up ahead of time for both the run and the raft trip. \n\n\n\nTHE TRAIL RUNWe’ll meet at Run Hub at 8 a.m. and leave by 8:15 a.m. to carpool to the Paradise Campground boat launch\, arriving by about 9:30 a.m. There will be people choosing just to run or run and raft\, so we can determine carpools prior to leaving Run Hub. You can also meet us there if you don’t want to carpool. \n\n\n\nTHE SHUTTLEOur friends at Horse Creek Lodge offer a shuttle service to transport us upriver from Paradise so we can do a point-to-point run with options of approximately 4.5 miles\, 7.5 miles and 14.5 miles. Shuttling is $10 to cover staffing and gas for shuttles. Sign up ahead of time (link below) to reserve your spot on the shuttle bus\, even if you’re not rafting. \n\n\n\nLUNCHAfter the 1-2+ hour trail run (depending which distance you choose)\, we’ll plan on using the picnic tables to have lunch at Paradise Campground. Note: you provide your own lunch. \n\n\n\nRAFTINGAfter lunch\, those who signed up for rafting will suit up in booties and wet suits and get going about 1-1:30 p.m. The raft trip is about 3 hours of floating on the river and includes snacks and a shuttle back to Paradise for $70. If you plan to raft PLEASE BOOK YOUR SPOT EARLY so that they can plan ahead for enough rafts and guides. The rafting cost includes your trail run shuttle fee. \n\n\n\nRegistration is now closed.
