DESCRIPTION:Get your ticket before the price increases on September 1! \nJoin us on Saturday\, September 7\, for the 2024 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog\, a poker run and catered lunch to fundraise for Run Hub Gear Grants! \n\n\n\nRun Hub Gear Grants provides free running shoes and other gear to school-aged runners in need. Our fall 2024 Gear Grants application opens on August 11\, and grants will be issued to cross country athletes in September. \n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for the event. Your $30 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog ticket includes \n\n\n\n\naccess to the poker run and post-run raffle\n\n\n\na catered lunch from Yabai Nikkei (chicken or tofu teriyaki\, rice\, salad and onigiri)\n\n\n\na drink from ColdFire Brewing (beer\, wine and non-alcoholic options)\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to buy your ticket before Sept 1\, so that we have an accurate count of participants for the caterer. The ticket price will increase to $40 on Sept 1.  \n\n\n\nAbout the event\n\n\n\nThe event will start at 11 AM at Run Hub Northwest\, 515 High Street in Eugene\, and participants will have one hour to check out Brooks demo shoes and other products from our sponsors. The run will start at 12 PM at Run Hub. Runners will run to five checkpoints throughout downtown Eugene and will draw a playing card at each one. The run will end at ColdFire Brewing Company\, 263 Mill St. \n\n\n\nThe object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run! The winner of the game will receive a $100 gift card to Run Hub! \n\n\n\nThanks to our sponsors\, Brooks\, Balega\, UltrAspire\, Skratch and Craft\, 100% of ticket sales will go to Run Hub Gear Grants! \n\n\n\nAnd thank you to the local businesses who are participating as poker card stops: High Street Tonics\, PLAY Eugene\, Meraki Coffee Co.\, New Day Bakery and Staszak Physical Therapy.  \n\n\n\nEvent schedule\n\n\n\n\n11 AM: Meet at Run Hub to check out Brooks demo shoes and other products from our sponsors.\n\n\n\n12 PM: Poker run begins at Run Hub and finishes at ColdFire.\n\n\n\n1 PM: Food\, drinks and raffle at ColdFire.\n\n\n\n\nMore about Run Hub Gear Grants\n\n\n\nRun Hub has issued more than 130 $200 Gear Grants to local student athletes since the program’s inception in fall 2022. \n\n\n\nRun Hub Gear Grants can be used by middle and high school students to purchase running shoes and other gear from Run Hub. Students must be enrolled in a track or cross country program at a Eugene/Springfield school or a sanctioned youth running program within Eugene/Springfield. Grants are given in the spring and fall of each year. \n\n\n\nGear grants are created with funds donated by Run Hub customers and community members and through fundraising runs such as the Jackpot Jog. \n\n  \n
