DESCRIPTION:For August’s Destination Trail Run\, we will be heading southwest to the Oregon Coast\, specifically the Dunes area. This will be the first time that we have explored this area\, so you will not want to miss it!  \n\n\n\nDetails: \n\n\n\n9:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub Northwest9:15 AM: Carpool to the Tahkenitch Dunes trailhead.11:00 AM: Meet at the trailhead.Directions: From Florence\, OR travel 14 miles south to Tahkenitch Dunes – Threemile Lake North Trailhead U.S. 101\, Gardiner\, OR. It is about a 90 minute drive from Eugene to the trailhead.  \n\n\n\nFrom Reedsport\, travel north for nine miles to the trailhead entrance located on the west side of the highway.1:00 PM: Everyone should be done running and we will eat at HomeGrown Public House and Brewery. Address: 294 Laurel St. Florence\, OR. 97439 \n\n\n\nThe course is a six-mile loop. There are also offshoot trails that you can take to add distance or you could do the loop twice. Dogs are not allowed on the beach\, so if you bring your dog you will have to stay on the trail sections. \n\n\n\nParking is $5/day on site\, or you can use a Northwest Forest Pass that can be purchased online. \n\n\n\nAll levels are welcome!
