You can choose to go anywhere from 4.5 miles to 17 miles. Details below: \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub.8:15 AM: Carpool to the trailhead.9:45 AM: Meet at Kentucky Falls Trailhead.12:00 PM: Eat lunch at Deadwood Tavern. Address: 14699 Highway 36\, Deadwood\, OR 97430 \n\n\n\nDirections to trailhead: Travel west on OR-126 for 30.4 mi. At the Whittaker Creek Recreation Area east of Mapleton between mileposts 26 & 27 turn left (south) onto Siuslaw River Rd (Forest Service Road 4390). Travel 1.6 miles and veer right at the Whittaker Creek sign and cross the bridge over the Siuslaw River. Travel this road for 1.5 miles\, then turn left onto Dunn Ridge Road. Continue on Dunn Ridge Road for 7.0 miles to a “T” shaped junction at the end of the pavement. Turn left at the T junction onto Knowles Creek Road and continue 2.8 miles. Veer right onto Forest Service Road #23 and follow for 1.6 miles. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 919 and follow for 2.8 miles and turn right into parking area. Follow signs to the trailhead.

SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: Middle Fork Willamette Trail
DESCRIPTION:For this month’s destination trail run\, we are going to go to Oakridge. In my biased opinion\, the best place for trails in the entire PNW\, and possibly the nation! With over 500 miles of trails around the area you never have to stop exploring. This month we will be going on a new trail called the Middle Fork. It was a relatively flat trail\, compared to Oakridge trail standards. It is over 30 miles long one way and hugs the Middle Fork Willamette River the entire way. We will start at Sand Prairie campground\, which is 12 miles south on forest service road 21. It is an approximately a 70-minute drive from Run Hub. We will run south on the Middle Fork trail. Since this trail is a one way you can turn around whenever you like. We will eat lunch at Three Legged Crane Brewery in Oakridge after. Details below: \n\n\n\n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub NW.8:15 AM: Car pool to Sand Prairie Campground.9:30 AM: Arrive at campground. Start run.12:00 PM: Meet at Three Legged Crane Brewery for lunch.  \n\n\n\nHope to see you at Run Hub! I will bring a map for everyone to look at. It is a gorgeous trail and very runnable with little elevation gain.

SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: Dead Mountain Oakridge Triple Summit Preview Run
DESCRIPTION:On September 24-26\, the Oakridge Triple Summit Challenge will take place\, so we will not be doing a destination trail run at the end of September. Instead we are going to do one a couple of weeks earlier on Sunday\, September 12. We will meet at 8 AM at Run Hub to carpool to the Dead Mountain trailhead. We will leave Run Hub around 8:15 and should arrive at the trailhead around 9 AM. This is an up and down mountain course\, so if you want to summit it will be just over an 11-mile roundtrip. If you want to run less you can turn around at anytime\, but I promise the views are worth the summit! After the run we will head to 3 Legged Crane Pub and Brewhouse (formerly known as Brewers Union Local 180) for a beer and lunch. All levels and abilities are invited! DESCRIPTION:Destination Trail Runs are back in full force!Come Join us for our annual run and raft trip on the McKenzie River! Run on the McKenzie River Trail and then choose whether to stay for lunch and a guided rafting trip on the river. NOTE: You must sign up ahead of time for the raft trip.THE TRAIL RUNWe’ll meet at Run Hub at 8 a.m. and leave by 8:15 a.m. to head to the Paradise campground boat launch\, arriving by about 9:30 a.m. There will be people choosing just to run or run and raft\, so we can determine carpools prior to leaving Run Hub.THE SHUTTLEOur friends at Horse Creek Lodge offer a shuttle service to transport us upriver from Paradise so we can do a point-to-point run with options of 6 or 12 miles. Shuttling is $5 to cover staffing and gas for shuttles. This is a brand new race on November 27th\, 2021. If you fall in love with the trail\, which I know you will then check this race out in November. For more info of the race please visit https://elevatedtrailracing.com/.\n\nDetails for the group trail run below:\n8:00 AM: Meet at Run Hub to drive to location. Please bring masks. We will all be wearing masks when not being six feet a part from one another.\n\n9:00 AM: Arrive at the Kings castle trailhead. Address: 54754 King Rd E\, Blue River\, OR 97413.\nWe will run up on the Kings Castle trail. Once we get to a T section in the trail we will take a right on the Castle Rock Trail. This will take us all of the way to the summit where you will have gorgeous 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains including the sisters mountains. The entire run will be about 11.5 miles and will have around 2\,800 feet of vert.\n\nRunners are welcome to do a shorter run and turnaround at the gravel road crossing. This would be around a 10k out and back run.\n\n12:00 PM: If anyone is interested and comfortable we will meet at Takodas to eat and drink.\n\nI look forward to running with you all again! Come out and try on a pair of Ons\, enjoy a beautiful trail\, and stay for lunch at Takodas for a pint and delicious food!

The trainer will cover basic self-defense\, verbal techniques and boundary setting\, while giving you opportunities to practice defensive strikes with pads. The active portion will last about 60-75 minutes followed by socializing and snacks\, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages provided by Run Hub. Registration is $10. SUMMARY:Destination Trail Run: Larison Creek Oakridge
DESCRIPTION:For February’s Destination Trail run you are in for a treat. This is one of my personal favorite trails. This is a 10k trail one way\, just a few miles past Oakridge. Do the entire trail\, out and back and you will get 20k of pure bliss trail running. There are no other trails to get lost on\, so do not worry about which way to go for this one. There is only one way! The trail hugs the Hills Creek Reservoir and steadily gains elevation while you run. You will not even feel like you are gaining altitude until the last mile\, where you will have a nice steep climb to the end of the trail. If you do the entire thing you might be treated with some snow! \nAfter the run join us for a bite to eat at Brewers Union. \nOakridge is truly a trail running paradise and I would love to share a little piece of it with all of you by joining me for a run in the woods. Details below: \nSaturday\, February 29th:\n8:00 AM: Meet at RunHub NW. 515 High St. Eugene\, OR. \n9:00 AM: Park at the Larison Creek Trailhead for a run. \n12:00 PM: Food at Brewers Union. \nDirections to trailhead: Coming from Eugene\, continue on Highway 58 passing the entire town of Oakridge. After passing Green Waters Park on your right you will climb a hill. Take a right on Hills Creek Rd. Then you will take another right on NF-21.
