For everyone's safety, we are going to cancel the event on Sunday. Over the last 24 hours, the McKenzie River area has had a significant amount of snow and it may continue to snow over the next 48 hours making the roads and trail a bit iffy. Those who signed up for the shuttle will get a refund in the next few days. If we're able to reschedule later this winter, we will. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Destination Trail Run: McKenzie River Trail

For our December Destination Trail Run, we’ll stick with tradition and head to the McKenzie River Trail!

Meet at Run Hub at 8 AM and we’ll leave at 8:15AM to carpool to Belknap Hot Springs, or meet us there around 9:30 AM. Horse Creek Lodge will shuttle us ($5 per person) to starting locations on the trail for point-to-point runs ending back at Belknap Hot Springs. There will be mile options ranging 5-12 miles.

All paces are welcome, including running and walking! If the trail is snowy, we plan to snowshoe instead. Snowshoe rentals can be found at Berg’s in Eugene.

After the run/hike, we’ll go to Belknap Hot Springs for an hour soak. The cost is $8/person. Please bring a swimsuit and towel, as well as a change of clothes, food and water for after the run.
