Women’s Self-Defense Night

Our She Begins Women’s Self-Defense Night will give you the tools and hands-on training to feel more confident when you’re out on a run or simply going about life. The trainer will cover basic self-defense, verbal techniques and boundary setting, while giving you opportunities to practice defensive strikes with pads. The active portion will last about 60-75 minutes followed by socializing and snacks, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages provided by Run Hub. Registration is $10. Bring a friend and join us for a night of self empowerment and the opportunity to connect with other women runners and walkers. We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing.
This training is open to women of all walks of life, abilities, gender identities and expressions, levels of experience, and ability, as well as girls ages 12+ with permission of parent or guardian.
SHE BEGINS Empowerment-Based Self-Defense and Personal Training envisions a world where women and girls are free to move through their lives without fear of disrespect, harassment, or physical violence. SHE BEGINS is dedicated to playing a part in creating that world by offering accessible, practical, empowerment-based self-defense and martial arts training to women and teens throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
