Ever wanted to meet a world championship medalist? Now’s your chance. 👇

Join us Wed, July 1 at 6 pm at Run Hub Northwest for a group run with World Championship bronze medalist Andreas Almgren.

@aaalmgren is Sweden’s premier distance runner and one of the fastest non-African athletes in history. In recent years, he’s rewritten both the Swedish and European record books, becoming the first European ever to break 27 minutes for the 10K on the road, and the first European to run a half marathon under 59 minutes.

Over the last two seasons alone, he’s set multiple European records and earned Sweden’s first-ever World Championship bronze medal in the 10,000 meters.

Andreas will be on hand for a meet and greet and autographs.

Thank you to International Paper for their $1,000 donation to our Gear Grants program! 👟 Their donation will fund about 9 grants for high school athletes who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford their running shoes or spikes.

A big thanks to Connie Gardner for nominating Gear Grants! We were honored to receive the donation along with other great community organizations, including White Bird Clinic, Twin Rivers Charter School (part of NW Youth Corps) and Knight Cancer Research Center.
