Oiselle is excited to celebrate the rising generation of women in sport with an opportunity to share their stories and meet key mentors!
Join Oiselle for a panel discussion with Oregon-local high school athletes, moderated by Kara Goucher (Olympian, NBC Analyst, award-winning author) and Kendra Coleman (Oiselle sponsored pro athlete and Blackademics TV producer).

Ticket proceeds will be donated to Girls on the Run Greater Oregon. Girls on the Run leads fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others.

6:30-7pm: Enjoy light refreshments, activities, and meet the non profits working to empower high school girls in sports! Bras for Girls donates new, high quality sports bras and breast development education booklets to girls in need, ages 8-18. Visit their booth and get fitted for a free Oiselle sports bra – all high school girls are welcome!

7:00-7:45pm: Please be seated for a panel discussion moderated by Kara Goucher and Kendra Coleman, featuring five Oregon-local high school athletes.

MEET OUR MODERATORS:

Kara Goucher is a 2-time Olympian, award-winning author, NBC Analyst, co-host of the Nobody Asked Us podcast, and Oiselle athlete-advisor. Kara first began the Fast Girl Fridays series on her instagram to bring attention to the accomplishments and experiences of high school girls in running. We’re excited to bring the Oregon edition to you live!

In her words: “I saw that high school boys were reported on more than high school girls were in the running space. There are so many amazing stories and athletes, and I felt like they deserved to be highlighted. I want to talk to the fastest girls in the nation, and I also want to talk to girls that have started running for the first time. The whole goal is just to show other girls that we see them, and maybe they can help inspire each other to go out for the cross country team or go for that big goal they have in the back of their mind. I want them to see what’s possible – by seeing each other celebrated!“

Kendra Coleman is a professional track and field athlete sponsored by Oiselle. She is currently focused on the Olympic Track & Field Trials in Eugene, where she will compete in the 800. Kendra is also the Senior Administrative Coordinator at The University of Texas, where she produces Blackademics TV airing on PBS, and facilitates grants for education under the black studies department. Her other interests include advocacy for women in sports, sitting as an officer on the USATF Athlete Advisory Committee as the Director of Athlete Services, and working with community organizations that serve student athletes.
