Join coaches Connie and Sarah this Saturday, Sept. 16 at 9am for the kick off of our fall Beginner 5K Training Program!

This 10-week program is $60 and is geared toward newer runners, walkers and people doing a combination or the two.

Team members will meet every Saturday to train toward the Run to Stay Warm 5K on Nov. 19. In addition, you’ll get a 5K training outline, weekly email from the coaches, team shirt, gear discount, support from your coaches and more!

Gear Grants can be used by middle and high school cross country runners who need help purchasing shoes, spikes and other gear for their season. We have already distributed nearly 30 grants to student runners in Eugene/Springfield this month!

Applications can be submitted by the student, a family member/guardian or coach. Apply at the link in our bio! Deadline is Friday, Sept 8.

Our fall 2023 season of Big Timber Running Club starts tomorrow! Membership includes a weekly training program developed by experienced coach Heike McNeil, Tuesday morning and evening practices, an encouraging team atmosphere, team shirt and other Run Hub perks!

This season we’ll be training for the Tree-O Relay (Sept. 24) and the Run to Stay Warm 10K and half marathon (Nov. 19).

Join us for our next destination trail run this Sunday, Aug 27, at South Beach State Park in Newport! 🌊

We'll meet at 9 AM at the shop, 515 High St, to carpool to the trail, or you can meet at the trailhead at 10:45 AM.

This trail allows access to sandy beaches and beautiful single track trails. We'll be doing a 6-mile run/hike, or you can hit some of the beaches for extra mileage.

PLUS, we'll have Brooks Cascadia 17 trail shoes for demoing on the run!

Afterward, we'll meet at Newport Brewing Co for lunch.

This Run Hub training program will start Sept 16 and will help beginner runners and walkers prepare for the Run to Stay Warm on Nov 19. Students, parents and coaches may fill out the form for the athlete. Recipients get a $200 grant they can use on shoes, spikes and other running gear.

We dropped off one of our staffers, Ethan Hardacre, this morning at the Oregon/California border on the Pacific Coast Trail. Ethan is going after the FKT (Fastest Known Time) on the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail for an unsupported person. The distance is 453 miles and he will need to be on a pace of 60-64 miles per day. If he reaches his goal, he will arrive in Cascade Locks at the Oregon/Washington border next Monday evening. We send him wishes for fast and steady feet on the trail.

The current self supported FKT is 7 days, 23 hours, and 17 minutes by Brian Donnelly in 2013. The supported record is held by @emilysweats in 7 days, 19 hours and 23 minutes.
