'Go the Distance' Challenge and Virtual Practice Series!

‘GO THE DISTANCE’ SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE

Running and walking are still safe activities to participate in! We want to keep you moving through this hectic time. Each Wednesday we’re announcing a challenge for you to participate in. You’ll have one week to complete the challenge, post a photo on social media and tag @runhubnw on Instagram and Facebook to be entered to win one of a number of prizes, including Run Hub gift cards, running socks and gift cards to other local businesses.

For our ninth challenge of quarantine, we ask you to lace up, get out, and commit some random (…run-dom?) acts of kindness! Maybe you plot a route to deliver goodies to friends, chalk words of encouragement on your favorite running path, or make it your mission to compliment everyone you run past (while respecting social distance, of course). Be sure to snap a pic, tag @runhubnw and let us know how you used your run to share the love! Entries accepted until Tuesday, May 26 at 11:59 pm for the prize raffle.

VIRTUAL PRACTICE SERIES

Run Hub and Friends are providing live, online classes to the running community during this time. We may not be able to run together, but we can still work together: to stay healthy, and continue to get stronger, fitter and faster. Join our practices on Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. on Facebook Live. Practices include core workouts, functional strength sessions, expert guidance on your arm swing, foam rolling demonstrations and more. Our next talk will be on June 3 with physical therapist Joe Uhan, who will answer your questions about running-related injuries. Join us on Facebook Live or view past practices!

Also on Facebook Live, you can find strength and mobility sessions led by our friends over at Cooperative Performance & Rehabilitation and tech talks with tech representatives from our shoe brands.

Motivation Monday

Each week we post photos of local runners who have recently completed races. If you’d like to be featured, submit a high quality photo of yourself and tell us what race you did, when and where it was and how it went for you (did you PR, did you hit a wall but persevere anyway, did you just have a ton of fun?!) Then look for your photo on our Facebook and Instagram pages!

Weekly Group Runs - All weekly group runs and other events are temporarily cancelled.

Meet us at the shop for weekly community runs on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m.  The runs are free and open to all paces.  Wednesdays include 3 and 5.25 mile options led by Run Hub staff.  Saturdays are open runs with distances up to the individual participants.

During the summer we host 5:30 a.m. runs on Wednesdays – these runs are over for 2019 but join us again for morning runs in 2020!
