Monthly Destination Trail Run

August 24, 8 am

Join us for a trail run on the beautiful Oregon coast! We will meet at Run Hub at 8 a.m. to carpool to the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center. Note: It costs $5 per vehicle to park there for the day. Salomon will provide demo shoes for runners to wear during the trail run. Runners can choose to do an approximately 6-7 mile loop, add a couple miles to the viewpoint for 8-9 miles, or meet us at Yachats Brewing for 12-13 miles. We will all meet up after the run at the brewery for lunch. Note: Our destination trail run is one week earlier than usual to accommodate for Level 32 Racing’s Hardesty Hardcore Trail Run on Aug 31.

Race of the Month: Cottage Grove Half Marathon and 10K

September 14, 2019

The Cottage Grove Half Marathon is a point-to-point road run on the scenic Row River Trail. Now in its fourth year, the half marathon begins at Dorena School and has a net loss of over 200 feet before ending at Bohemia Park. Run Hub will be providing pacers for the half marathon. The 10K starts at Trailhead and runs to Mosby Creek and back. A portion of the proceeds from the event will support the Cottage Grove Armory’s restoration. Enjoy Oakshire beer and other refreshments after the race. Click on the link below for more information and to register for the race!

Motivation Monday

Each week we post photos of local runners who have recently completed races. If you’d like to be featured, submit a high quality photo of yourself and tell us what race you did, when and where it was and how it went for you (did you PR, did you hit a wall but persevere anyway, did you just have a ton of fun?!) Then look for your photo on our Facebook and Instagram pages!

Weekly Group Runs

Join us for weekly community runs on Wednesdays at 5:30 am and 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m.  The runs are free and open to all paces.  Wednesdays include 3 and 5.25 mile options led by Run Hub staff.  Saturdays are open runs with distances up to the individual participants.

Shoe Update

Hoka ONE ONE Clifton 6

The updated Hoka Clifton is softer, lighter and more durable. This cushy neutral shoe retains the features runners have come to love about the Clifton, including the early stage Meta-Rocker, but has been improved with a softer engineered mesh upper, embroidery reinforcements to provide more midfoot lockdown, and reinforced eyestays for increased durability.
